It’s undeniable that the events of 2020 and beyond into 2021 have changed how we live our lives and cope with the ongoing effects of Covid-19.
Understanding this, and responding to the needs of the community, the Department of Community and Justice (DCJ) are funding the establishment of a Neighbourhood Centre in Terrigal.
On Friday 16th April, from 3.00pm-6.00pm a Community Gala Launch will be held in the grounds of the CWA Hall where the neighbourhood Centre has called home.
Partnering with Terrigal Bowling Club who will be offering free barefoot bowls, the car park will be overflowing with information stalls, market stalls, entertainment and food stalls.
Marie James, Manager of the Centre, is excited that the project is finally being launched and is pleased by the amazing support for the event.
“ We want the community to know what is out there for them to tap into. Everyone we have approached, whether it’s to showcase service information or to have a market stall and sell their craft is keen to participate. This tells me we need to celebrate and celebrate we will!”
Being officially launched by Adam Crouch MP, it will be an afternoon of community celebrating community.
